BSA has a successful show at the 2013 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

Well the weather was surely on our side at the recent SCIBS. Many boating enthusiasts inspected the beautiful Fairline Targa 58 and the Riviera M360 throughout the show and we have received considerable interest and new owners sign up on both vessels. We also enjoyed catching up with some of our Queensland owners at the show enjoying some champagne and nibbles.

Sparkling Fairline shines at Boating Syndication SCIBS display

A luxurious Fairline Targa 58 will be the centrepiece of the on-water display for Boating Syndication Australia at the 2013 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

New to the fast-expanding BSA fleet, the Fairline is a large sports cruiser brimming with innovative features.

The company will also display its Riviera M360 sports cruiser, based on the Gold Coast Broadwater.

Andy Young, Managing Director of BSA, said the Fairline “is hugely unconventional in design. The forward cabin, for example, has the ambience of a hotel room on the water. The usable space in this cabin simply defies convention. It is this type of thinking that continues throughout the boat.”

New courtesy bus for Boating Syndication owners

Innovative luxury boating company Boating Syndication Australian (BSA) has introduced a new service for clients – a courtesy vehicle to save time and cost in car parking.

BSA’s Andy Young said the new service is already being well received by clients.

The people mover can carry up to eight passengers so it offers owners the chance to extend the service to friends as well as immediate family.

“It takes much of the stress out of a day’s boating,” said Andy. “Getting a car park around any of Sydney’s marinas is difficult at the best of times. Now our clients simply make a quick phone call and we are there to pick them up.”

He said the new service also means an owner can now relax and share a few drinks with friends as soon as they return to the marina instead of waiting until they arrive home.

“It makes the time out on the water even more of a pleasure,” said Andy. “Of course, a skipper can’t drink while out on the water, but the day becomes even more pleasant if they can relax as soon as they are back in dock at the end of the day.”

BSA has a fleet of seven boats in Sydney, based at The Spit in Mosman and at Rushcutters Bay close to the city centre.

Boating Syndication Australia (BSA) has unveiled the latest luxury cruisers in its fleet to Sydney clients.

BSA’s Andy Young and his team introduced the exciting new 52-foot Belize Motoryacht to owners at a party held at the d’Albora Marina in Mosman on Sunday, October 30.

The party was the first chance for David and Sandy Libling to see their new acquisition. They bought two of the available 10 shares on the boat sight unseen and are delighted.

“The finish and thoughtfulness that have gone into the boat are exceptional,” said David. He had looked over a number of the BSA offerings but was looking for something that would exactly suit his family’s needs.

“We were looking closely at another brand but Andy asked us to wait to see the Belize. He showed us layout plans and convinced us,” said David.

Sandy loves the seamless indoor-outdoor atmosphere. Sitting on the lounge on the wide aft deck she said: “It all comes together, from the galley to this deck. It is as if there is no door at all.”

Andrew Hardy brought his young children to view the new boat and they were as excited as their father.

“The boat combines a feeling of both classic and modern in a very effective way,” he said. “We love the interior design with its European textures and colours. She is unique.”

For Peter Lumsdaine, the BSA business model is important.

“Andy is someone I can trust,” said Peter. “The concept is particularly good for people getting into boating. Andy and his team have a strong focus on training and support. He is always available with tips to help make our boating easier or to get us out of trouble if needed.”

David and Sandy agreed that the BSA syndication model is attractive.

“The booking system is incredibly flexible,” said David. “If we book a few days and then can’t take them, we can swap with other owners. Some booking systems lock you in so you often waste booked days.”

Paul Sifis met the BSA team at this year’s Sydney international Boat Show this year.

“I was looking for new boat but didn’t have a lot to spend,” said Paul. “Then Andy explained how the syndication system works. He showed us drawings of the Belize and I was sold. The model of shared ownership works so well. I get a lot more boat and share the costs. All you need is a bit of a flexible attitude.”

The new Belize – yet to be named by her proud owners – joins a fleet of Riviera, Princess, Clipper and Azimut luxury boats in BSA’s berths at the d’Albora marina in Mosman.

Belize to launch with Boating Syndication Australia

When the exciting new Belize Motoryacht arrives in Australia in about a month, it will be welcomed by a larger family of owners than usual.

The Belize 52 Hardtop, the first boat from the new Australian brand of luxury cruisers, is joining the fleet of Boating Syndication of Australia (BSA).

BSA Managing Director Andy Young said: “We are proud to bring this beautiful and uniquely stylish new boat to our owners. We will bring the joy of owning a Belize to 10 families.”

Belize is the brainchild of Australian boating industry leaders Wes Moxey and Lee Dillon.

“We recognised there is a growing group of ardent boaters who love tradition and ageless style and require individuality and bespoke options,” said Lee Dillon. “Wes and I share a passion for boats, a passion for quality, integrity and service.

“Our value positioning is second to none.”

Wes Moxey said: “Belize takes its aesthetic cues from the luxury automotive industry as well as timeless timber-based European boats from the art deco-era of the 1920s and 1930s.

“The sheer of the low-profile Belize 52 Hardtop remains flat before gently rising to the bow, while still delivering great space in the decks below – generous three-cabin accommodation and a roomy saloon.

“The substantial teak-capped bulwark delivers secure side access for drier passage-making and ease of docking.”

Lee Dillon said Belize had selected BSA “because Andy Young shares our sense of integrity and passion for perfection.

“Andy’s business model means that his Belize owners will know exactly what they can expect and what costs are involved,” he said. “Andy and his team are meticulous in maintaining all the boats in their fleet and we expect our first Belize will be a gleaming example of our brand on Sydney Harbour over the next few years.”

The Belize 52 is built by Belize Motoryachts in collaboration with ISO-certified Kha Shing, a Taiwanese artisanal-based custom boat-builder with more than 35 years’ experience building more than 1,300 vessels ranging in size from 45 to 185 feet.

According to Wes Moxey: “Kha Shing adapted to Belize’s complex production techniques, delivering on sublime details such as guttering under sliding windows to redirect condensation back overboard via a hidden central plumbing line.”

Designed specifically with the Cummins Zeus Pod drive system in mind, the boat’s warped-plane hull features scooped pod tunnels and a scooped arc/turned-down chine in the bow to deliver smooth and stately cruising.

Andy Young said he would offer 10 shares in the Belize 52 Hardtop at a cost of $139,000 per share plus on-going costs. Half of the shares had already been accepted, he said.

Boating Syndication Australia maintains a fleet of luxury boats across a variety of brands at The Spit on Sydney Harbour.

“We are focussed on helping clients find the right boat for them, no matter where it may be,” said Andy Young. “We can also bring together the right group of people to share in the luxury boating experience.

“Too often, syndication businesses are focussed on selling shares in a particular boat,” he said. “It is pre-packaged with a standard agreement, standard shares and standard service.”

He said his team have managed more than 25 syndicated boats over the past five years so bring a wealth of experience to the company.
